Over a month, the turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 23.9, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – 5.9, of those engaged in trading in non-food products – 20.7% at constant prices. The largest increase in turnover was observed in retail sale of toys and games (2.8 times), watches and jewellery (87.4%), cosmetic and toilet articles (80.7%), books (76.9%), telecommunication equipment (75.5%) in specialised stores.
In December 2014, against December 2013, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises increased by 6.9% at constant prices (working day adjusted – 4.8%). The turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 3.9, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – 14.3, of those engaged in retail trade in non-food products – 7.2% at constant prices. The largest increase in turnover was observed in retail sale via mail order houses or via the Internet (34.4%).
In December 2014, the turnover (VAT excluded) of food and beverage service enterprises amounted to EUR 40.2 million and, against November, increased by 10.9% at constant prices. Compared to December 2013, the turnover of enterprises engaged in the said activities decreased by 0.9% at constant prices.
