In May alone, new car registrations plunged by 54% y-o-y to 2,201 units, it said, citing data from the state car registration company Regitra.
"The consequences of the lockdown introduced due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic had the biggest impact on the market," Autotyrimai said.
Last month, the number of registered personal cars dropped by 51.5% to 2,057, and the number of light commercial vehicles slumped down by 73.7% to 144.
The most popular personal car models in May were Fiat Tipo with 443 registrations, Fiat 500 with 260 and Toyota Corolla with 124.
Two Lamborghini Urus luxury sport utility vehicles were registered in Lithuania last month.
