According to data provided by the central Bank of Lithuania, the country's non-life insurance market grew 11.8% to 230.084 mln euros in the January-June period of this year, as compared with the same period last year, while life insurance market lost 6.1 % to 100.121 mln euros.
Non-life insurance signed 69.7% of all signed premiums, while life insurance accounted for 30.3%.
Motor third party liability insurance, comprehensive auto insurance (CASCO) and property insurance between them accounted for 78.5% of the overall non-life insurance market.
Investment life insurance accounted for 56.8% of the total life insurance premiums written.
