The observance of the All Souls' Day occurs on 2nd November in Lithuania. It is not as widely celebrated as All Saints' Day, but special holy Mass is said in churches. It is said, that the All Souls' Day is not so popular because it merges with All Saints' Day, which in addition appears to be a national holiday in Lithuania and namely than people attend cemeteries and visit the graveyards of their dead relatives.

In Western Christianity, All Souls' Day, also known as the Commemoration of All Faithful Departed, is observed principally in the Catholic Church, although some churches of Anglican Communion and the Old Catholic Churches also celebrate it. The All Souls' Day follows the All Saints' Day.
