Mrs Graužinienė expressed her appreciation of the active Danish-Lithuanian cooperation in connection with politics, economy, culture and security. She pointed out that it was necessary to continue promoting bilateral partnership in the areas of education, science and advanced technology in order to attract investment and innovation to Lithuania.
Mrs Graužinienė also extended her invitation to Pia Merete Kjærsgaard, the new Speaker of the Folketing of Denmark, who was elected this June, to pay a visit to Lithuania.
Dan Eddie Frederiksen is the sixth Danish Ambassador to Lithuania. The diplomat replaced the previous Danish Ambassador to Lithuania, Jørgen Molde. Mr Frederiksen has a degree in political science and has worked in the Danish diplomatic service since 1990. His appointment to Lithuania is his third appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. He had served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uganda and the Republic of South Africa as well as in the Danish representations to the UN in Geneva prior to his appointment as the Danish Ambassador to Lithuania.
