In 2009, the Labour Party opened its unit in London, which was the very first foreign unit of the party. In 2012, another foreign unit started operating in Chicago. The Labour Party also has plans of opening yet another unit abroad – in Ireland.

The Labour Party of Lithuania has decided to open its 62nd unit. The unit will be established outside Lithuania – in Spain – and will become the party's third unit operating abroad.
