About project
Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) together with the Educational Exchange Support Foundation runs the project "UPinLT - Programme of Foreigners' Internships in Lithuania", which encourages students and graduates from abroad pursuing a degree in Lithuania to take part in internships in companies and organizations in Lithuania related to their study programme or higher education qualification. The aim of the project is to provide support to foreign students and graduates of Lithuanian higher education institutions for their successful integration into the Lithuanian jobs market.
It is an additional student internship aimed at acquiring complementary practical skills or deepening the already existing practical skills and can be chosen as an additional study module beyond the number of credits provided for in the study programme, and carried out during the time free from studies when the study programme does not include academic classes. This placement cannot be counted as a mandatory internship in the study process. A tripartite agreement will be signed for the internship.
VILNIUS TECH is able to provide 17 student internships (quotas) in this project. 14 of them are for 3-month internships and 3 of them for 6-month internships. The scholarship for the internships is EUR 650/month. The amount of the scholarship is fixed for the whole period of activity.
