Plenary
During Wednesday's plenary session, MEPs are to debate and vote on the European Strategic Investment Plan, also known as the Juncker Plan. If adopted, the fund would be launched this summer, boosting Europe's economy by unlocking €315 billion in public and private investment. MEPs will also debate and vote on a resolution on the EU's economic governance. Current rules are not working as intended as they are too complex, so MEPs will look into improvements. In addition MEPs will discuss migration, security, economic governance, Ukraine and Greece ahead of the European Council on 25 and 26 June.
Data protection
Negotiations on the EU's data protection reform start Wednesday. Participants include Parliament's chief negotiators, justice ministers from outgoing and incoming Council presidency holders Latvia and Luxembourg and the EU's justice commissioner..
Security
The foreign affairs committee discusses on Tuesday security issues as well as Parliament's calls for more action to address the migration crisis with the EU's foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini.
Economic policy
The economic and social affairs committees discuss on Tuesday this year's EU recommendations for economic policy for the different member states with Valdis Dombrovskis, commissioner for the euro and social dialogue; Pierre Moscovici, commissioner for economic and social affairs, and Marianne Thyssen, commissioner for employment.
