This news from Russia gives hope for Lithuanian meat processing companies that meat export will get back to normal.
"We received an official notice that Russia has removed temporary restrictions on the import of chilled beef for these companies: Agaras, Pajurio Mesine, Krekenavos Mesa," informed the Minister of Agriculture Vigilijus Jukna.
Before restrictions Lithuania exported two thirds of all the beef to Russia per year, in total for the sum of LTL 200 milion (EUR 58 milion).

The Baltic Course with reference to the news agency ELTA and the daily 'Lietuvos žinios' writes that Russia informed that from September of this year the temporary restrictions for import of chilled beef from Lithuania were cancelled.
