In January-April, new car sales in Lithuania soared by 20.6% to 6,639 year-on-year, ACEA said on Friday. Faster growth was only reported in Cyprus (43%), Ireland (26.1%) and Portugal (21.5%).
In Latvia, new car sales grew by 20.2% to 5,345 over the period and in Estonia by 11.6% to 7,562.
Across the EU, new car registrations rose by an annual 8.5% to 5.094 million in the four months.
