The European Commission has found Polish plans to invest into electric charging and hydrogen-refuelling infrastructure for zero and low emission vehicles to be in line with EU State aid rules. The measure will contribute to reducing CO2 and other pollutant emissions without unduly distorting competition in the Single Market, in line with the Commission's Green Deal objectives.

Following a review under the recommendation on the gradual lifting of the temporary restrictions on non-essential travel into the EU, the Council updated the list of countries, special administrative regions and other entities and territorial authorities for which travel restrictions should be lifted. In particular, Argentina, Colombia, Namibia and Peru were added to the list.

President Gitanas Nausėda welcomed President Andrzej Duda of Poland on an official visit to Lithuania. The visit started with the first meeting of the Council of Presidents established in 2020. Special focus was placed on regional security and defense, control of illegal migration and the Eastern neighborhood.

On Monday, President Gitanas Nausėda participated in a remote preparatory meeting for the European Council with European Council President Charles Michel. Representatives from Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Romania also attended the meeting.
