The meeting focused on the reconstruction of Ukraine and cooperation between Lithuania and the EBRD. The President underlined Lithuania’s strong commitment to help Ukraine rebuild its infrastructure destroyed by Russia before the end of the war, and presented Lithuania’s projects that have already been implemented in Ukraine.
The President invited the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to work together in organizing a business forum to be held in Lithuania in conjunction with the Three Seas Initiative Summit in 2024.
Gitanas Nausėda and Odile Renaud-Basso discussed joint efforts to rebuild Ukraine, ravaged by the ongoing Russian aggression, the engagement of Lithuanian businesses in the reconstruction process, and ways to attract the required capital.
