SocietyThe State Food and Veterinary Service (VMVT) has reported that three new African swine fever (ASF) hotbeds were detected on Friday in small farms of Trakai district in Lithuania. A total of 6 ASF cases have been found in Trakai district this week. On 4 – 6 September 2015, 31st EBA (European Bonsai Association) & ESA (European Suiseki Association) Convention will be held in Vilnius, at the LITEXPO exhibition and congress centre. At the same time, the 4th Japanese Culture Festival will take place. Vilnius City Municipality has decided to reintroduce night bus service after a long period of absence. The first buses begun operating on the night from Friday to Saturday, from 14 to 15 August. Statistics Lithuania informs that, according to the Labour Force Survey data, in II quarter 2015, the unemployment rate stood at 9.4%. The corporate group is proposed to be managed by the joint stock holding company where 100 per cent of the shares belong to the state and by trust law are managed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania.
