The Ministry of Transport and Communications has announced that in accordance with NATO security requirements, all flights will be prohibited in the airspace within a 30-km radius of the Litexpo exhibition centre during the NATO Summit in Lithuania on 11-12 July. Transport ministers and representatives of 27 countries adopt a joint statement on the reconstruction of Ukraine2023-04-03, 12:17Participating in a High-level Dialogue organised by the International Transport Forum (ITF) and the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure in the city of Rzeszów, Minister of Transport and Communications Marius Skuodis, along with the ministers of Poland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Czech Republic and other countries, presented a joint statement of 27 countries regarding the reconstruction of Ukraine’s transport infrastructure. The joint efforts of the three Baltic states, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, to develop defense capabilities together is the guarantor of security in the region. For that reason, the joint procurement aiming to build up the defensive capacity of the three Baltic states are focused on several priority areas in mind: acquisition of the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, HIMARS, including joint integration of the new capability into the defence plans of all three countries, then, acquisition of integrated air and missile defence system, development of the Maritime Situational Awareness capability for the joint defence of the three Baltic states, increase of ammunition stockpiles, and strengthening of the Special Operations Forces. |
