The official presentation of the new quadrilingual website took place in the House of Polish Culture on the 24th April in Vilnius. This event was of a great importance not only for the Polish community in Lithuania, but also for the entire country. To a certain extent, this project can be seen as a response of Poles of Lithuania to their supposed unwillingness to integrate into the life of the state. Giving the accurate information about the achievements and problems of the society will certainly strengthen mutual relationships and deepen the knowledge about ourselves and the world.

A lot of representatives of the Polish media in Lithuania took part in this event, i.e. journalists of „Kurier Wileński”, „Tygodnik Wileńszczyzny”, „Magazyn Wileński”, „Nasza Gazeta”, „Spotkania”, radio „Znad Wilii”, Polish program in the Lithuanian radio, Polish media website  "Wilnoteka" and DELFI PL. Members of the Parliament on behalf of EAPL, members of the Supreme Council of EAPL, management team, administration members and the members of the Councils of Šalčininkai and Vilnius districts' self-govenrments, presidents of Polish social organisations, such as ZPL and "Macierz szkolna" also attended this special occasion. The head of the Consular Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland Stanislaw Cygnarowski attended the presentation as well.

The audience had the opportunity to become acquainted with the new media product and its developers. At the beginning of the meeting the head of the initiative group, the manager of L24.lt Viktor Jusel presented his team which consists of seven young and ambitious people from Vilnius and Vilnius Region.

It was emphasized that young editors who are creating the website are looking forward for a support from more experienced journalists, thereby inviting them to cooperate. As an example of this, the agreement with the „Tygodnik Wileńszczyzny” was made. Many warm words and wishes were said by other journalists. They wished the young team a lot of operability, creativity, courage in facing new challenges and serving the truth, as well as respecting the Christian values, which is not so easy in nowadays life. Experienced journalists also expressed hope that the young generation, which has the difficult task in today's media market, will cope with the difficulties of serving the written word and providing the accurate information.

Words of encouragement were directed to the young people by the leader of EAPL, Member of the European Parliament Valdemar Tomaševski and the Member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Vanda Kravčionok. From the very beginning they were the people who supported this initiative group. Warm words were also said by the President of the ZPL M. Mackevič, mayors Marija Rekst and Zdzislav Palevic. General Consul of the Republic of Poland Stanisław Cygnarowski pointed out that after four years of his absence he sees a lot of positive changes in the life of the Polish community in Lithuania, which is a great example of organisation and unity worldwide.

One of the traditions of Vilnius Region is to start every important thing with the help of God. Therefore, at the end of an official part Priest Dean Juzef Aškelovič provided the God's blessing and everybody prayed together for a good start. "Only through suffering and passion victory is achieved," - the priest said.

The new website and its editors will certainly have some difficulties on their path. The purpose of the website is to serve for the common good, that's why we should unite our forces to support it.
