Sixteen of the cases are long-haul drivers from Uzbekistan hired by a Kaunas transport company.
The employees of Hegelmann Transporte are believed to have contracted the virus in their home country, Rolanda Lingiene, the director of the NPHC's Vilnius department, told reporters.
One of the infected arrivals from Uzbekistan has been hospitalized in Kaunas and others have been isolated in a rehabilitation center not far from Lithuania's second-biggest city.
In response to the situation, Kaunas Mayor Visvaldas Matijosaitis called on Minister Health Aurelijus Veryga to draft legislation for mandatory coronavirus testing for arrivals from third countries.
The latest cases also include a long-haul driver from Ukraine who was diagnosed with the virus in Klaipeda, and a person who tested positive in Vilnius after a trip to Barcelona.
Lithuania has so far registered almost 1,900 COVID-19 cases and 79 deaths.
