Families with many children in Varėna district are going to receive the Big Family Cards before the end of June 2017.

The cards offering various discounts will be valid not only in the Varėna district, in Alytus, but also in the Polish town of Ełk.

Dovilė Barčiukienė, manager of the Centre of Social Services in Varėna, told that companies, offices and organizations of Varėna district were invited to participate in this initiative and give the holders of this card discounts for the products and services that they are providing.

Unfortunately, according to D. Barčiukienė, there was not a single company until now that decided to join the discount system for families with three and more children. Still experts believe that it will be possible to find socially responsible businesses.

The Big Family Card - a system of discounts and additional benefits for families having 3 or more children is already in use in Poland. And not only in public institutions but in private companies too.

Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance (EAPL-CFA) solicits the active use of the system of discounts and benefits for big families in Lithuania.
