The court meeting was postponed to 17th April.

Wednesday's meeting was supposed to provide some legal proceedings of the case - documents and surveys of the accused Marina Liutkevičienė and Vytautas Gapšys.

Accusations in this case were submitted to the Labour Party as a legal person as well as to some individuals.

V. Uspaskich claimed that he hopes the judge will recover quickly. Asked by the journalist, if he intentionally had delayed the meetings of the court, V. Uspaskich just wished the journalist not to get sick too.

Prosecutor S. Verseckas explained that the judge can be replaced by another one just in case if the present judge will not be able to attend meetings for a long time.

"Everyone can get ill" - prosecutor stated.

As reported by ELTA, during the hearing of the 8th April, closing speeches should have been heard, but unexpectedly V. Vonžutaitė did not appear in the court, because of her illness. The gastritis was stated and she was transported to Santariškių clinics.

Although, due to V. Uspaskich's illness, the court separated the case against him from the whole case, the Lithuanian Court of Appeals stated that the criminal case should be further investigated against all the accused together.

Labour Party is accused for illegal accountancy management. It is presumed, that in the period from 2004 to 2006, 24m LTL of income and 23m LTL of expenses have not been recorded.

Accusations in the case were submitted not only to the Labour Party as a legal person, but also for some individuals. V. Gapšys was accused for appointing to do the accounting falsely as well as for signing false documents, M. Liutkevičienė - for knowingly submitting the false information. According to the case, V. Uspaskich was named as a participant of the organized criminal group; under his personal control the illegal accountancy records were kept.
