The Commission for Secret Protection Coordination of the Republic of Lithuania assigned to the State Security Department to initiate an update of Lithuania’s international agreement on the requirements of mutual protection of classified information with the Government of Germany back in June 2016. The agreement drawn up in 1999 was no longer aligned with legal regulation in force in Lithuania.
Lithuania has analogous agreements on mutual protection of classified information with 23 countries.
