When the European Parliament held an open day in Strasbourg on 8 May in honour of this year's Europe Day, some 19,000 people took the opportunity to find out more about how it works. This later paved the way for the European Union. During the last week of April Vilniaus kolegija organised an annual International Week (IW). This year IW hosted 56 lecturers from partner higher education institutions and business companies in 16 countries. In total 112 lectures were held in all 7 faculties of Vilniaus kolegija. The main goal of the international week was to give possibilities for all the students, who do not participate in exchange programmes, benefit from international lecturers’ classes and workshops (“Internationalisation at home”). On May 4 2016 Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) launched the first Fab Lab engineering workshop in Lithuania. The total investment into the modern Fabrication Laboratory infrastructure already exceeds half a million Euros. |
