EconomyStatistics Lithuania in its annual publication Structural Business Statistics Indicators 2013 reports that back in 2013, there were about 183,000 active enterprises in the country, which employed about 935,000 people. Over the year, the number of enterprises increased by 9.2%, the number of persons employed in them – by 4.3%. Amendments in Lithuanian PPP regulatory framework will allow Unsolicited Proposals2015-08-02, 12:22On 29th of July 2015, the Lithuanian Government has approved amendments to Rules for the development and implementation of public private partnership projects (PPPs). These amendments will allow the private sector to initiate project preparation and tender procedures by submitting an unsolicited proposal. Statistics Lithuania informs that in June 2015, compared to May, construction input prices increased by 0.5%. The change was mainly influenced by a 1.5% increase in wages and salaries. Over the year (June 2015, against June 2014), construction input prices increased by 1.8%. Statistics Lithuania informs that in II quarter 2015 country's gross domestic product (GDP), estimated based on available statistical data and econometric models, amounted to EUR 9 274.9 million at current prices.
