New passenger car registrations in Lithuania soared by 35.1% y-o-y to 4,238 units.
Latvia posted a 3.6% annual decrease to 1,484 and Estonia recorded a rise of 3.9% to 2,271 units.
Across the EU, car registrations declined by 7.5% to 956,800 units.
Volkswagen remained the most popular make in Europe, with 117,100 cars sold in January, down 6.6 percent from a year earlier.
