Lithuania in 2014 collected 619 million euros in environmental taxes, which accounted for 6.1% of its total revenue from taxes and social contributions.
Energy taxes generated by far the largest part of the country's environmental tax revenue, at 93.8%. Transport taxes accounted for 3.5%, and taxes on pollution and resources for 2.7%.
Latvia collected 630 million euros in environmental taxes in 2014, or 9.3% of the total tax revenue, and Estonia collected 533 million euros, or 8.3%.
Across the EU, the share of the environmental taxes averaged 6.3%.
