The report includes data on all European Union member states, except Malta, as well as European Free Trade Association countries – Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.
796 new automobiles were registered in Latvia in April 2013, compared to 884 new cars in April 2012.
15 countries registered increases in new automobile registrations, 14 reported reductions.
Finland recorded the steepest increase in new automobile registrations in April – 142.6%, followed by Denmark – 30.7%, and Norway – 28.6%.
The largest decreases in new automobile registrations were observed in Cyprus – 51.9%, the Netherlands – 26%, and Iceland – 20.2%.
1,913 new automobiles were registered in Estonia in April 2013, a 22.2% increase on April 2012 and the fifth steepest increase in Europe.
A total of 1,081,307 new automobiles were registered in all European countries covered in the report in April 2013, 1.8% more than in April 2012.
1,038,343 new automobiles were registered in EU member states in April 2013, 1.7% more than in April 2012.
