EUROPE’S FASTEST GROWING POLITICAL MOVEMENT

The Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists in Europe (ACRE) is Europe’s fastest growing political movement. Since our foundation in 2010, we have become the third largest of the European political groups. We count more than 30 parties and an active family of representations in the European Parliament, Council of Europe, Committee of Regions and NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

United by the Centre-Right values expressed in our Reykjavik Declaration, ACRE is dedicated to individual liberty, national sovereignty, parliamentary democracy, private property, limited government, free trade, family values and the devolution of power.

These values underpin our politics, including our vision for the reform of the European Union. Europe faces a crossroads; as her institutions of governance rattle, ACRE’s agenda for reform has never been more salient. Join our movement, and help advance a Europe - and a world - of free peoples, free nations and free markets. The leader of ACRE is the Member of the European Parliament, from the Czech Republic, Jan Zahradil, who represents the Civic Democratic Party.

One of the parties co-creating The Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists is The Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance (EAPL–CFA), which was founded in 1994. The party implements the statutory assumptions, when taking part in various elections – local elections, parliamentary elections, as well as European Parliament elections. For over ten years EAPL–CFA governs in the dominated by Poles regions: The Vilnius Region (63% of Poles) and the Šalčininkai Region (80% of Poles). In the local elections EAPL–CFA constantly obtains 60-70 % votes of support. In other different regions EAPL–CFA belongs to the ruling coalition and has an impact on the decisions made. In total, it has 69 councillors chosen from the list of “Valdemar Tomaševski’s Block” (term 2015-2019). The party, under its own name, has a fraction in the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania, which contains 87 MEPs (term 2016-2020). Moreover, it has a MEP in the European Parliament and its representatives in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Committee of the Regions.

During its entire period of existence, EAPL–CFA has had many battles to fight in the defence of the interests of the Polish minority in Lithuania and many of them were victorious. Various times it organized protest rallies in front of the Lithuanian Parliament in defence of the Polish education, language and land. Together with the Association of Poles in Lithuania and the Polish Association of Schools, the Educational Society has carried out an action of collecting signatures beneath the laws favourable for the Polish society and the national minority. The party takes care of the development of the Polish schools in Vilnius, as well as the economic development of the region. Thanks to common effort in the past twenty years the Polish society in Lithuania, in comparison with other Polish societies outside the motherland, have the strongest position in the world.

The leader of The Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance (EAPL–CFA) is Valdemar Tomaševski, Member of the European Parliament, who is one of the representatives of The Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists (ACRE).
